Todays post is ALL about what drugstore products I use on my face! Every girl scours the make-up stands trying to find their fave beauty products!
Check out the items used to create my favourite look! PRIMER
FOUNDATION
This super blendable foundation does not contain fragrances, pore-clogging fillers or oils, therefore emphasising flawless skin while still providing a healthy nourishment.
I love the smooth application and the fact that very little product is required for full coverage! What a bonus ey! I have found that using both primer and setting powder help the product to stay for long periods of time without going oily and still provides that natural finish. CONCEALER
Like any girl I'm a sucker for concealer! - I have two fave drugstore products... and both are from Maybelline! The first is the Age Rewind Eye Concealer in the shade Light. This product is adored by a lot of beauty bloggers, and I can totally see why!
Being a student, late nights are VERY common! So the fact that this product can easily erase and disguise the dark circles under my eyes is a god send. After using this item several times I felt that the sponge applicator caused the product to discolour. HOWEVER... after telling my friend (who also was a first time buyer of the product) she explained that she actually cut the sponge off!
BROWS
Now when it comes to the brows I've struggled to find a long lasting brow product which I love. I therefore opted to be a little adventurous... I used the Maybelline Master Drama Khol Liner... yes I know this is an eyeliner!
I apply a tiny amount of the product to the centre of my brow and then use my brow brush to sharpen the shape and fill in the rest of my brow. Application wise this was my favourite out of a long line of attempts, however I have found that the product easily snaps. EYE-SHADOW
After looking for a drugstore pallet with basic nudes and browns I got my hands on the Mega Nudes 4 by Technic. Not only is this product dirt cheap, but there is a variety of tones that are easy to build on and super blendable. Although this is a basic pallet it is easy to create several different looks! I 100% recommend that if you ever get stuck without your make-up go grab yourself one of the Mega Nudes pallets!
Like every girl I have way to many eyeshadow palettes, but my ultimate favourite individual shade is the 'Color Riche Mono Shadow' in the shade Golden Nude. I am prone to buying pallets as they are easier to travel with rather than having to take lots of individual pans. However, no matter what palette I use I always end up coming back to this shade! - This one comes with me EVERYWHERE! I'm obsessed with the pigmentation of this individual pan and the product stays immaculate all day long. - I would recommend purchasing this in store as when previously ordering online the item has come smashed. EYE LINERCONTOUR & POWDER
Yes, I like to contour on a daily basis...
I know this can be super time consuming, but it just adds to my confidence, so who cares! Having used NYX Contour Stick I absolutely HATED IT! I then moved on to the Sleek Contour Palette and I'm in love! The colours blend SO easy and doesn't leave what I like to call 'dirt tracks' - when the product becomes stiff and doesn't blend so you get left with dark visible lines. I apply this to my jawline, below my cheek bones, along my hair line and either side of the bride of my nose before using a beauty blender to ensure all the product has been blended evenly. After ensuring all my contour is blended I then applied a small amount of Rimmel London's Insta Fix & Matte Translucent Powder to complete my look. LASHESThe final step of my drugstore look is the lashes! I used the Revlon Ultra Volume Mascara - Curl you lashed before to enhance the look! I've found that after applying 3 coats of this product the volume of each and every individual lash is enhanced! Which I love!
Here's the finished look! - I love the cheaper alternatives to various products!
Let me know your thoughts! Until next time, Dea xo
